Dr. Erin Wessel was born and raised here in San Luis Obispo County. She developed her love of working with animals through 4H. She earned a degree in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior from the University of California, Davis, before moving to Scotland to earn her veterinary degree at the University of Edinburgh in 2014.
After graduating, she started practicing in Flagstaff, Arizona, where she met her now husband. She spent the past decade practicing emergency medicine at multispecialty referral centers throughout Arizona and the California Bay Area.
She moved back to the central coast in 2025 with her husband, daughter, dog, and cat to be closer to her local family and friends. When not working, she loves spending time with her loved ones, camping, traveling, reading, playing games, and exploring all the area has to offer.
