We are excited to announce that one of technicians, Ingrid, has just completed her training and has received her R.V.T. license. This license stands for Registered Veterinary Technician and requires that applicants must first complete either a 2 or four year AVMA-accredited vet tech program to receive their degree.
After graduation, potential RVT applicants must take and pass both a national and state board exam. Registered Veterinary Technicians must complete a required number of Continuing Education hours each year to maintain their registration.
This additional certification means that Ingrid can now perform certain advanced veterinary technical skills, such as induction of anesthesia.
We are truly excited for Ingrid and know that she will continue to be a great asset to our hospital, as well as to our human and animal clients. Congrats!
