We are excited to welcome Mrs. Caitlin Kelly back to our Pismo Beach Vet family. If you have been a client for a while, you will probably remember Caitlin. She worked with us several years ago as a veterinary assistant while she was in the process of applying to veterinary school! She is a now a 4th year veterinary student at Oregon State University. As part of her final clinical year of veterinary school, Mrs. Kelly will be spending a week with us in late March. As part of her training, she will be assisting our veterinarians and helping with the clinical management of our patients. We hope that you will welcome her back to the Central Coast!
Caitlin’s Bio:
Caitlin Kelly is a fourth year veterinary student from Oregon State University who will be joining Pismo Beach Veterinary Clinic for a preceptorship in March. You may remember Caitlin as one of our veterinary technicians… or Winston, her golden retriever, who was often seen hanging out at the clinic. Caitlin and her husband, Michael, expanded their family with the addition of Claire, a gorgeous blue bicolor Ragdoll cat. Caitlin passed the national veterinary board exam in December and is set to graduate with her DVM in June of 2014. In veterinary school, she took an elective course in canine/feline dentistry and in April has an exotic care specialty elective. Her interests in the veterinary field fit perfectly in general practice with particular interests in surgery, dentistry, and exotics. She enjoys both emergency care and wellness care! In her spare time, Caitlin enjoys outdoor adventures and photography. She hopes to move home to the central coast in the summer of 2014 as a small animal and exotics veterinarian.
